How to improve this website?

I am told when people come to the site that they can't immediately figure out where things are.

I am wondering if the addition of the "About this Site" page helps? Can things be worded better? Are all the options along the right-side of the page too busy?

Any help appreciated. I'm a low-level technical guy and a high-level policy guy. Website design is not something I am good at.

images and pictures

I think some images and pictures would be nice.
It would break up the text a bit... the text is a bit busy

Nice site, though... great idea!

Help wanted..

Do you know any graphics design people who would be willing to help?

A New Theme!!!

Howdy,

I quite literally stumbled across your site as I was following some blog links and was pleasantly surprised to see the drupal 'drop' icon as the page was loading!

I am an internet technology consultant - and happen to be a great advocate for Drupal - AND happen to be a theme developer - AND think you have a valuable resource here.

I would love to develop a unique theme for your site and help you better organize the site (from a usability standpoint). I do like to get paid for my work - but I work primarily for not-for-profit organizations and know that the budget isn't always there - so I've learned to adapt to people's budgets to give them the most bang for their buck.

If you are interested drop me a line.

Digital-copyright.ca is entirely a volunteer run site..

Sorry for not noticing the feedback right away, but wanted to post that the DCC site is entirely volunteer and sponsor run. There are no budgets at all. If someone wanted to donate their time, or spend money on something which they would then donate to the site, that would be greatly appreciated. They should join the DCC-VOLS mailing list and let us know what is offered.

Forum

I found the forum a little difficult to find personally. New user though.

Which one?

There is a forum attached to each "topic" that exists on this site. The most important forums are those attached to the electoral districts, with there being a forum article that new users can add comments to.

Do you have suggestions on how to make that easier?
