Copyright in the Mainstream

You need look no further than the CBC to find how copyright has become a popular issue. There have been no less than three segments on popular CBC Radio shows in the last week.

As said in a previous post, last Friday "Q" interviewed a marketing guru who discussed everything the music industry has been doing wrong and what they should be doing differently in light of the new P2P reality.

Yesterday "The Current" discussed movie piracy issues in light of the new lower losses reported by the industry and the record profits they enjoyed in the last year

Today "Search Engine" talked about pending legislation in the States which would require universities to become copyright cops for the media industries.

Lots of stuff, which it would appear, is being contemplated by lots of people. Watch out Jim Prentice.
