Son of a Captain Copyright

More lunacy from the Canadian Recording Industry Association (CRIA) and Entertainment Software Association (ESA). According to a CNet article by Anne Broache, CRIA and ESA wants to push so-called "morality-based" Copyright "education" to kindergarten through fifth-grade. The reality is that Canadian copyright is currently so complex that most lawyers don't understand it, so I believe any alleged "education" that is attempted before the act is massively clarified and simplified is simply dishonest and "immorality-based". I hope that our Education Ministries and parents will not allow this type of mental abuse into the classroom.

When/if CRIA and ESA join our call to clarify and simplify the act, including adopting a living Fair Use regime that carves out private activities such as space, time and device shifting, and a modern copyright act is passed then there will be some tiny bit of credibility to what they are asking for.
