I have been watching how various presidential candidates have adopted FLOSS software. I just noted that Richard Stallman endorses Dennis Kucinich for President of the US. His personal homepage includes the statement "I endorse Dennis Kucinich for President of the US. We need an elected president who will support the freedom and interests of all Americans, not just the rich few".

According to an Technical Entrepreneur Profile on Sun.com:

In addition to his CEO role at Affero, Poole is currently on the Board of Directors of the Free Software Foundation and is advising the Dennis Kucinich for President campaign on technology.

While I don't see anything about the "code is law" policy issue (see this message in the Lulu forum for more information) and the need to have ICT tools under the control of their owners and not third parties, I do see a position on openness and transparency in electronic voting.
