A HISTORY OF THE HAMILTON PUBLIC INQUIRY INTO SEPT. 11
John A. McCurdy
The Hamilton Public Inquiry Into Sept. 11 is an on-line resource designed to assist individuals who wish to further investigate the unanswered questions and gross inconsistencies in the official narrative of the September 11th attacks in New York and Washington, D.C. in 2001.
Here you
will find invaluable Internet links to websites, researchers, books,
videos and other resources, as well as my own writings on the
matter. This site is also for those who already recognize that
the official narrative of 9/11, propounded by the U.S. government and the mass
media, represents a cover up of U.S. complicity in the 9/11 attacks. The Inquiry was officially founded on February 6 and draws to a close
in its present form as of December of this year. My use of the word
"Public" in the Inquiry title is rhetorical rather than descriptive; the
entire inquiry has been conducted by myself alone, but in the spirit of public
transparency and the public interest. Between the months of February and April I attempted to expand my work into
a collective partnership with other activists and researchers in the Hamilton
area, but found this route impractical. That being said, however, I wish to
acknowledge and thank the following individuals for assistance or inspiration
in making this website possible. SOURCES OF INSPIRATION AND ASSISTANCE FOR THIS WEBSITE Other 9/11 researchers (skeptics) who directly inspired my work include:
Noam Chomsky (Znet), Stan Goff (Narco News), J. Israel and I. Bykov (The
Emperor's New Clothes), Michael C. Ruppert (From the Wilderness Publications),
Barrie Zwicker (Vision TV), Terry Burrows (Citizen's Audio Tapes), malcontentx
(Community Currency), Nafeez Mozaddeq Ahmed (Media Monitor's Network),
and Peter Blanchard (People & Planet Friendly Events). I also want to thank Russell McOrmond of Flora.org for hosting the website,
and Katherine Jovicich-McCurdy for producing it through August-September. Thanks also to those here in Hamilton, Canada who helped promote
the Inquiry and its objectives through public screenings in Fall 2002 of
Zwicker's and Ruppert's videos on 9/11: the McMaster Student Action Committee,
the McMaster Social Science Society, CARMA (Citizens Against Racism and
Military Aggression) - especially Kevin MacKay of Skydragon Centre, Hamilton
Indymedia, and also the organizers of the Nov. 16 Coalition (especially Ken
Stone). ABOUT THE AUTHOR My research into political and broad human interest issues predates the
events of September 11th, 2001 by over tens years. I first wrote
critically against U.S. foreign policy at the time of the Gulf
War in 1991. Since 1996 I've been an avid consumer of alternative print
media, particularly of a Left-leaning persuasion. Since 1999 I've also explored
the political and intelligence gathering possibilities of the Internet and
carefully compiled archives detailing the history of the Anti-Corporate
Globalization movement in North America and Europe. Beginning the morning of September 11, 2001 I extended my existing
research to include a daily documentation of mainstream
and alternative media treatments of the 9/11 attacks and their
origins and fallout. Since then I've collected thousands of articles from
newspapers, magazines and websites. During the summer of 2002 I devoted much of
my time to combing through the large mass of material I
collected and distilled the very best down to what you find here at
this website. In terms of my personal background I'm an Undergraduate student at McMaster
University in Hamilton, Canada working towards a Combined Honours Degree
in English and History. I founded two previous grassroots publications, a High
School underground magazine called "The Tupperware Party," in 1991, and an
anarchist magazine called "Say Say Say," in 1995. I'm a member of the
Anthroposophical Society in Canada (though I do not speak or write on their
behalf) and remain (despite increasing political pessimism) a social-anarchist.
LINKS TO NEW 9/11 RELATED RESEARCH DEVELOPMENTS A list of updated 9/11-related links I've compiled is available at Peter
Blanchard's People & Planet Friendly Events website ( http://www.planetfriendly.net/911.html ). They appear in alphabetical order. Readers are encouraged to
think critically about these resources. Neither I nor Peter Blanchard endorse
the views expressed in these websites, but we agree that their
insights should be weighed and considered. I draw your attention specifically to a handful of essential links
that fulfill many of the larger ambitions I held for the Hamilton Public
Inquiry Into Sept. 11 in ways beyond my abilities and energies. The best source for public record facts on 9/11 is The Complete 9/11
Timeline, compiled by the Center for Cooperative Research ( http://cooperativeresearch.org/completetimeline/ ). This timeline will soon be published in book
format. Sign up to be informed of publication details at the website. The leading public inquiry into Sept. 11 is The People's Investigation
of 9/11, based out of San Francisco, USA ( www.911pi.com ). Another is Unanswered
Questions - Thinking For Ourselves ( www.unansweredquestions.org ).
The leading on-line review of 9/11 research is 9/11 Skeptics Unite!
( www.osamaskidneys.com/main.html ), with Questions, Questions: A Review of Alternative Theories on Current
Events a runner-up ( www.questionsquestions.net ). The best source for informed and timely reports and analysis on 9/11 is the
Centre for Research on Globalization ( www.globalresearch.ca ), based out of
Canada. Their print-based quarterly magazine Global Outlook
is available through the website and is the single best print
publication on 9/11 in the world. Copies of 9/11 books and videos can also be
ordered from Global Outlook through the Centre for Research on
Globalization. Though this inquiry is now complete I intend to continue my research into
9/11 with a full analysis of the data I've collected. The results of my
research will be published in a series of articles and in a book at a later
date. Sincerely, John A. McCurdy
