Green Party: Broadcast Consortium censors political choices

The criteria for the leadership debate seems to be that the party had seats in the last parliament. Unlike the Bloc the Green Party will be running candidates in all 308 ridings, and yet the Bloc leader will be invited while the Green Party leader will not.

Press release ((Montréal - Thursday, May 27 2004): No to Green Party in debate - Broadcast Consortium censors political choices

Note: I consider media concentration to be a digital-copyright.ca issue. Attempts from media companies and software monopolies to own/control electronic communications tools (such as through so-called "Digital Rights Management" - DRM - see the Trusted Computing FAQ) is an even worse form of media concentration. While today I am able today to inform people on this BBS about things which the mainstream media do not want you to think about, this right may be revoked for all electronic media in the future. I will continue to use DRM-free communications tools (I refuse to give up my property rights for the sake of accessing content from the content industries), but will audiences using DRM-controlled tools still have access to my DRM-free websites?
