Mr. McOrmond;
John Cummins has asked me to reply to your email. With respect, we now have over 25 such requests to complete surveys or questionnaires, some of them running to over 10 pages. Our candidate does not have the time and will not answer these requests. It is entirely about the best use of his time and energy at this time.
If you have one specific question, please send it on and we will try to answer it. We do not sign pledges as the Election Act forbids that activity.

I asked the following single question:
The Liberal government tabled a bill C-60 which included legal protection for technical measures used by copyright holders. While the claim is that these technical measures are used to stop copyright infringement, they have a bit of a hidden agenda and are also used to circumbent or hide the circumvention of competition, privacy, contract and other laws including copyright law. The US Office of Homeland security has also warned about the conflict between these technical measures and computer security.
Do you agree with the Liberals that we should have legal protection *for* technical measures, or agree with others who believe we should have legal protection *from* technical measures abused by copyright holders.
