Read: [next] [previous] message[d@DCC] UnderstandingCopyright.caFrom: Blaise Alleyne <blaise _-at-_ blaise.ca> Hello, Inspired by the EFF's Teaching Copyright project, a thread on this list form last month, [0] and a post from Howard Knopf, [1] I've put together a website with the intent of trying to create a balanced Canadian copyright teaching resource. http://understandingcopyright.ca/ There's a wiki where I hope that knowledgeable folks can come together and built something useful for Canada. It's licensed CC BY-SA, so it's compatible with Wikipedia, the EFF's Teaching Copyright and Andy Kaplan-Myrth's learning module. I've tried to put up some starting content and ideas. I've also set up mailing lists for announcements and discussion. The basic idea is to develop the materials on the wiki, and then run them by some legal and educational experts before releasing a 'stable' version. I'd love to get feedback from this list. Do you think it's a good idea? Would you be interested in participating? Any suggestions on how/where to promote this? Thanks, Blaise Alleyne [0] http://list.digital-copyright.ca/pipermail/discuss/2009-May/007237.html [1] http://excesscopyright.blogspot.com/2009/05/balanced-copyright-teaching-resurce-for.html -- http://blaise.ca/ _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list Discuss@list.digital-copyright.ca http://list.digital-copyright.ca/mailman/listinfo/discuss Read: [next] [previous] message List: [newer] [older] articles You need to subscribe to post to this forum. |
