If I believe this law, the copyright is basically valid in Canada for at most 51 years after the publication, not the death of the author. Also interesting is the fact that a movie will automatically be considered published after 50 years, so someone realizing he inherited a 92 years old unpublished movie could protect It for at most 8 more years. http://lois.justice.gc.ca/fr/ShowDoc/cs/C-42/bo-ga:l_I::bo-ga:l_II//fr?page=2&isPrinting=false&noCookie#codese:11_1 http://lois.justice.gc.ca/en/ShowDoc/cs/C-42/bo-ga:l_I::bo-ga:l_II//en?page=2&isPrinting=false&noCookie#codese:11_1 Simon Valiquette _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list Discuss@list.digital-copyright.ca http://list.digital-copyright.ca/mailman/listinfo/discuss Read: [next] [previous] message List: [newer] [older] articles You need to subscribe to post to this forum. |
