I used the "User Agent Switcher" extension to identify myself as I.E. 6 running under XP. After the browser check page I got a java window asking if I would allow the java program to run on my machine. I said yes, switch my browser identity back to the default, then proceeded to answer the Census questions starting with confirming my address and phone number then identifying the number of people in the household, then identifying who those people were. I stopped at this point as I did not want to complete the process, but only prove the concept. The only thing I found was that moving from one set of questions to the next was dreadfully slow. It took a minute or more for each page to be rendered. I am not sure if this was a server loading issue or had something to do with the JVM. > When you wrote your MP about this issue, what was the reply? > Haven't done so yet as these issues only appeared on my radar yesterday, but rest assured Belinda will get and ear full :) _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list Discuss@list.digital-copyright.ca http://list.digital-copyright.ca/mailman/listinfo/discuss Read: [next] [previous] message List: [newer] [older] articles You need to subscribe to post to this forum. |
