Did the larger Java application download and run fine? It is not the verification of the computer that is the issue, but the Java program that interacts with the government. I'd like to hear of someone who made it through the entire process -- specifically the Java application, not the JavaScript platform test -- to know if it works, and what the real limiting criteria is. Does the Operating System matter at all, or is this application on dependent on specific features in Sun's JVM? Will the application run on other JVM's? > Between this issue, the contentious issue of using proprietary American > software, and the most recent one I heard about where StatsCan wants > married gay couples NOT to identify themselves as married, I think the > census is really being done badly. BTW: I've seen copies of acknowledgements from the Prime Ministers Office on this issue, so things are getting counted. -- Russell McOrmond, Internet Consultant: <http://www.flora.ca/> 2415+ Canadians oppose Bill C-60 which protects antiquated Recording, Movie and "software manufacturing" industries from modernization.
