   Yes,

I think that our focus should be on trying to ensure that Canada
becomes a demonstration of "another way of thinking". We have been
given a great opportunity with the CMCC to try to communicate with other
creator groups to try to get them to see things in similar ways. When
it is clear that the DMCA/DMCA+ type rules only benefit the legacy
intermediary associations at the expense of both creators and the
general public, then it will hopefully become a no-brainer for Canada to
reject that backward-facing thinking.

We need to be vocal -- we need to take the energy that was seen in
Parkdale High-park during the last election and expand it Canada-wide.
We need to ensure that every MP has received many letters from
constituents!

We have to remember that in the USA that more people were members of
the old Napster than voted for the US president. If this community
could be harnessed towards policy goals we can have positive change.

Political apathy is our greatest enemy!

So, has everyone in this list (and all your friends/etc) sent at least
one letter about copyright revision to your current member of
parliament? What was the response? Please post responses to the BLOG
so that we can use that to encourage other people to write as well.

2415+ Canadians oppose Bill C-60 which protects antiquated Recording,
Movie and "software manufacturing" industries from modernization.
