[d@DCC] Peer review of my letter to the editor

This is my first time writing a letter to an editor, and with the
potential of it being scrutinized by many. I'd appreciate any feed back,
public or otherwise. BTW, I've kept it short as it seems the Ottawa Sun
tends to publish short responses to their articles:

----------

Contrary to Mr Henderson's assertion in the November 25th article
"Artists want more protection", I believe downloading, file-swapping and
peer-to-peer networks have done a world of good for Canadian artists.
Despite the doom and gloom purported by Mr Henderson, many bands have
thrived by taking advantage of the Internet as a new medium for
promotion. For example, the local band Nero allows fans to record their
live shows and share them on the Internet. What great exposure!

As technology changes, so to must business models. It should not be up
to government to interfere with a free and evolving market.

----------

Thanks,
TC.
