It really seems like with all this talk about amending laws and creating new ones to deal with copyright issues we're going to be headed to where China is today. Where pirating of copyrighted material is rampant. It's one thing to create the laws, but at some point you have to enforce them. At some point enough laws would be created that would make it impractical to enforce them. Then the question is which ones do you enforce, and who do you enforce them on? Take for example p2p networks, if they make "downloading" illegal then while I'm sharing my open source project over limewire I would be breaking the law. So would thousands of other people. Reminds me of prohibition sort of.
