Actually, please use both ;-) There may be considerable overlap on the two lists, but there will also be people who are going to focus on the different aspects of replying to the immediate Copyright question ( http://www.flora.org/dmca/ has archives, links, and mailing-list subscribe instructions ), and opposing (wishing to abolish) the whole bundle of "temporary Intellectual Monopoly" laws (IE: abolish-ip@Contre.COM). I do hope that some of the initial press releases will mention some of the parallel activities going on. There will be many things in common, but will be approaching the problem from multiple angles to ensure that in the end we'll all make gains. P.S. I've already had one person wonder why there is an Internet based email-list that seems to want to abolish the Internet Protocol (what "IP" means to most programmers). Maybe this was a Microsoft Network thing from before they embraced (and have attempted to break/extend) TCP/IP themselves. --- Russell McOrmond, Internet Consultant: <http://www.flora.ca/> RMS clarifies Freedom http://www.gnu.org/press/2001-05-04-GPL.html Free Sklyarov http://www.dibona.com/dmca/ http://www.freesklyarov.org/ http://www.flora.org/dmca/ Oppose DMCA in Canada! -- For (un)subscription information, posting guidelines and links to other related sites please see http://www.flora.org/dmca/ Read: [next] [previous] message List: [newer] [older] articles You need to subscribe to post to this forum. |
