Read: [next] [previous] messageRe: [d@DCC] TPM case under the EUCD, and renewing complaint about DVD CCAFrom: "Chris Brand" <Chris_Brand _-at-_ spectrumsignal.com> Here's an interesting quote from a case in the states : >"One cannot gain access to a CSS-protected work on a DVD without >application of the three keys that are required by the software. >One cannot lawfully gain access to the keys except by entering >into a license with the DVD CCA under authority granted by the >copyright owners or by purchasing a DVD player or drive containing the >keys pursuant to such a license." from http://news.findlaw.com/hdocs/docs/mgm/321mgm22004ord.pdf (page 10). In general, the CSS cases are likely to be a good place to find the movie studies pleading in court that you can't access DVDs without buying a license from them.
