I've submitted and posted a third reply comment; it's at
   http://ansuz.sooke.bc.ca/icresp3.html

This'll probably be my last reply comment in this round, for school time
commitment reasons if nothing else. It goes in several different
directions; it's basically picking up the last few points I want to
highlight. First of all, the phone company submissions: they're
surprisingly good. Telus, who submitted one comment, and the eight
telecom companies who submitted another one together, appear to realise
that DRM is against their interests. That's certainly true, but I'm
surprised they understand it. Also, one of the companies joining the
multiparty comment was Bell ExpressVu - basically, the same sort of
company as DirecTV. And they don't mention hardly any of the evil things
DirecTV says. So I build up the idea that Canadian businesses are the
ones we should listen to. A couple paragraphs in the Telus submission
gave me an excuse to bring up the break of Microsoft's "DRM 2" system
which was on Slashdot today; and I also discuss something I missed
mentioning in my earlier DirecTV reply, which is the idea of whether there
is or isn't a direct obligation on privilege holders to support fair
dealing in their systems.
